Semester Reflection

Well.....For this past semester we must admit it was very challenging for all of the member in Huracan team. Of course we all have out ups and downs but we still worked together pretty well. In this history class, we are being taught to be independent and not to always rely to the teacher to tell us what to do since we are not the soccer ball anymore now. the most challenging task in History is the portfolios like this blog. We help each other in tasks. We would sometimes exchange notes to study for the upcoming tests. We've improve a lot in our group. and i hope that at the next academic year we will do better than we did now.

According to us, there are lots of difficult challenges in History. The hardest thing to do in History is the portfolio (The blog). The portfolio requires lots of time and it also covers lots of things. The portfolio requires a very good team work and this will record everything we've been through. In addition, we also have the semester exam, we really need to study for that and we solve them using the power of research. There are lots of pages because we did research from everywhere.

The Huracan team has progressed on being a teacher. It means that we were on the stage of applying and analyzing on level 2 of Bloom’s pyramid. We also learnt the lives of Marie Antoinette, the royal escape, Louis XVI, Robespierre, Napoleon Bonaparte and more things about France. There are so many topics for us to study. So we did our homework on researching every day. This makes us to prepare for the exam earlier. Mr. Rick gave us some study questions to research on. We have 2 types of exams, the extremely hard exams, which is called the HOTS (higher order thinking skills) exam and extremely easy exam called the LOTS (lower order thinking skills) exam, which is simply memorizing stuff!
